Series of lifetime-digital drawings

25 35 is an open series of digital drawings. The first drawing was created in 1998 when I turned 25. I drew a circle for every month of my life starting with a diameter of 1cm for my first year and adding one cm with every consecutive year so the circles’ diameters corresponded to my age. The scale of the drawings mirrors my body measurements, 167cm (my height) and 95 cm (girth of my hips). To draw the circles, I chose a red color which I have associated with my first name, Petra, since my childhood. The location of the circles on the paper is not random but follows a special pattern I invented to document my life. I created the second drawing at Kala around the time of my 35th birthday.

This open series will add one drawing every ten years as long as I live.
