The collection of ten photographs and three videos examines house chores within the scope of coexistence of two partners. The artist observes transitions of a traditionally perceived family environment with slight irony, but without coming across as being critical. She reconstructs real moments and situations from her own home environment – primarily cleaning.
“I’m interested in researching and defining household routines and schemes, the principles used to create them, and playing with the certain absurdity associated with them. At the same time, I’m fascinated by the phenomena and experiences of a household, which can be so discreet that they pass through our homes unnoticed. I’m inspired by real moments and situations, which, with slight exaggeration, I reconstruct, magnify, overdo and take to the boundaries of perfection, or, on the contrary, I document a specific moment stigmatized by a dose of certain strangeness or daily miracle. In both cases, I balance on the border of reality and construction.” (MT)
