Each Embracing all the Rest

The installation was made shortly after my residency in Ramallah, Palestine. The main theme is the base and natural or forced relations to a certain space. The first video depicts a man literally walking through crowns of trees, which are too low to allow a reasonable passage on the sidewalk. The wall drawing behind the video is derived from a scheme by the Danish mystic Martinus Thomsen, describing the future impact of current events. The second part of the installation represents a paper model of a base stone, made of black and white photographs of ruins of vanished civilizations. The second video captures an action in a cave revealed during a construction of a new house in Ramallah. Through eurythmy, a man expresses a term „base“.
