The Fire Begins All Over Again

The installation consists in a video-projection capturing a roundabout in Ramallah. Through eurythmy - a motion system expressing a concrete message - a woman “writes” the phrase “the fire begins all over again”. The video is combined with two spatial elements, an abstracted crown derived from the medieval one, sculpted into the vault of the Old Town Bridge Tower in Prague, and a hexagonal room, presenting four symbolical depictions of the relation of architecture, transfer and personal memories. Finally there are mounts with Chladni Figures, geometrical symbols resulting from the vibration of a metal board, set into motion with a bow.
