Kwiatkowska has long been working with readymades and the appropriation of methods and procedures for handling objects. In the installation How To she takes over and materialises DIY methods of using everyday household objects and improving their effectiveness or using them for a different purpose than that for which they were originally intended. The interventions in the installation are largely humorous, sometimes bizarre, DIY tricks. Kwiatkowska, of Polish origin, offers a unique take upon Czech DIY culture and aesthetics.
