Girls, Also Girls

In these two works Bromová deals with the theme of identity and the problem of the individuality of the human body. For the installation entitled Girls she used a group photograph of New York girls from the 1920s, a blow-up of which she placed on an illuminated podium.
Alongside this she exhibited another colour slide entitled Also Girls, on which there is a multiple image of the figure of a male transvestite whose genitals are visible. This installation was created using computer technology and is the first work of its kind in Veronika Šrek Bromová’s oeuvre.
